Mother's Day!

This year was my first official Mother's Day (I was 8+months prego last year)! Rob is gearing up for finals and is beyond busy, but regardless he was sweet enough to find a little time to help make my Mother's Day special. Rob and Carson got up early and made me a special breakfast and had beautiful flowers and a present for me. Today, and EVERYDAY, I feel so lucky to be the Mama of my little monster. He changed my life forever and the day he was born my love grew a 100x! I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for trusting me with one of his precious children to love and guide back to Him on this earth!

(P.S. I can't believe that I am about to post these pictures on the worldwide web for anyone and everyone to see. I have to tell you that I don't know what I do in my sleep but every morning my hair is CRAZY and obviously I didn't tame it before these pictures. Also I have no make-up on... not my best look!)

Also, since it is Mother's Day I must give a shout out to my beautiful Mother and Mother-in-law! I swear my mom is super mom! I admire her and lean on her all the time. I call her almost everyday asking her a million dumb questions. I don't think I will ever stop learning from her and I am pretty sure that no matter how many times I call her I will NEVER be as wonderful of a Mom as she is! Thanks Mom for helping me become the person I am today and always supporting me!

I am also so grateful for my Mother-in-law. Heck she raised 4 boys...no girls.... 4 adventurous, wild boys...I think that deserves an award by itself! She taught my husband how to be a respectful hardworking boy and man. He is a wonderful husband and father and I know it has A LOT to do with the lessons she taught him and for that I am forever grateful for the mother is!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Mess-free Painting!

The weather is getting hotter every day which we are totally bummed about, because it definitely limits the things I can do with my little guy. We are trying to find fun things to do INSIDE, so today we decided to paint. I saw the idea on Pinterest and thought that it was so clever and mess-free (YAY). Carson enjoyed it for about 2 minutes and then got distracted by a finger puppet that I found in my teaching stuff when I got the paint out! haha! It was fun while it lasted though!

Notice Puppet!! :)

Shades, Trains, and Books

Carson's little personality is coming out so much and I love it. Tonight after dinner, Carson found his sunglasses and wanted help putting them on. He thought they were so cool and keep taking them off and trying to put them back on. He eventually kept them on and giggled his way around the house pushing his choo-choo and reading his books (he totally goes in his room all the time and brings out all of his books to read all by himself **my teacher heart is happy**) Love this cool Dude!

I-Love Daddy!

Rob spends a lot, I mean A LOT, of time in our "office" at home. Carson is old enough that he knows Daddy is in that room even when the door is closed. He has started going to the door and banging on it when it is closed. So cute and sad! He just needs some Daddy snuggles. Today he was very curious as to what was in Daddy's ears, so he got to check them out and even tried to get a taste!

1st trip to the Phoenix Children's Museum

Last week I scored a culture pass to the Children's Museum at our local library, so today I took Carson on his first trip to the Phoenix Children's Museum. We invited our friends Laura and Dax along for the fun. They had been to the Museum before, so they knew where all the good spots were. Carson seemed to have a great time and I know he will have even more fun when he is walking really well! Thanks Laura and Dax for making the day so fun!

A few of my favorite things

At 10 months, these are a few of Carson's ABSOLUTE favorite things. His walker, Leo the Lion, and balls (specifically the red one pictured and a blue one just like it)!

He loves them all so much that he tries to carry them ALL around while pushing his walker. Whenever he sees his stuffed lion he seriously shakes with excitement. It is so funny how happy he gets. It doesn't matter if he just saw it 3 minutes ago. He gets so excited that he bites the lion's nose and gives it a big hug and rubs his face in the mane. As for the ball, he would seriously hold it all day long if we allowed it. He frequently tries to pick up his food and eat while still holding the ball in the same hand. He also takes the ball with him in the bath and even takes it to bed with him! Our local library has the same small balls and at story time last week, when they put out the bin of toys Carson quickly crawled over and reached into the big bin and pulled out the small ball! Silly boy! But I think it is cute that he has his little favorites already! :)
