Halloween Love!

Halloween is a fun holiday! I love seeing all the little kiddos dressed up in their costumes and so excited! It is the best! I also love Halloween now because it always reminds me of when Rob first told me he loved me (hey if you don't like sappy you don't have to read on :P). We were dressed as nerds (couldn't be more fitting) and he looked right into my taped together glasses and told me the three magical words! I remember thinking, "Heck... if this boy loves me as a nerd, he must REALLY love me." I am so happy we feel in love and get to be with each other FOREVER! He is the best hubby a girl could hope for! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Eat, Sleep, and Study

Eating, Sleeping, and Studying has been Rob's life this summer and his big test is just around the corner.... FRIDAY!! He has studied so much for the OAT and has sacrificed so much time. I honestly don't know how he does it... it makes me tired even thinking about it! It makes me so proud to be married to a man that cares so much about his future and the future of his family.... I know that he is going to do great and if the amount of time he has put into studying is an indication of anything, he will do Awesome! The goal is that he will only have to take this test once and that he will be happy.... that alone will be a blessing and he can go back to normal life (or should I say school.. it starts in a week). Please send extra prayers our way this week... I know that he would greatly appreciate them! I love you Robby... You are going to do GGGRRRRRRRREEEAAATTT!!! YOU GOT THIS!!

The update!

I am so behind on Blogging that I have just put it off... SOOO much has happened that is worthy of blogging about, but I will try to make this short. At the end of April, I finished my student teaching. My 2nd graders were soooo sweet and threw me a going away party. My cooperating teacher, and good friend, Susan, made me a beautiful Shutterfly book filled with all the fun experiences from student teaching... I wish I could put it up here somehow.

In May, I graduated!!! Yippy! I still can't believe it and probably won't until Rob is going back to school and I'm not. A piece of me is kind of sad that it is over... if I could, I would be a student forever!
The Monday after graduation, I had my first teaching interview and then had an interview every week for 3 weeks... that was very stressful for me. I do not like interviewing... at all! However, like they say, the third time was a charm and I will be teaching 1st grade at Desert Winds Elementary School this coming year. I am very grateful for this opportunity and am lucky to have found a job so fast, especially in this economy. It was definitely an answer to my prayers.

The day after I got the job, two of my best friends got married to each other! It was such a fun and beautiful wedding and I was so happy to be a part of it! The Gila Valley temple is beautiful! Congrats KAMI & ADAM!!
The following Tuesday my completely HANDSOME nephew was born. He is such a sweet lovable baby and he came just in time to see Justin before he left on his mission.
A week and a day later, we sent Justin on his mission! Saying goodbye was NOT fun... at all. (I now hope my first child is a girl...haha).. but we are SOOO proud of him and would not want him ANYWHERE else in the world than serving the Lord. Yesterday we heard from him and he is doing SOOO great!
Rob is doing great... he was so happy for the end of the semester to come. It was a VERY BUSY semester for him. This summer he is working and taking a test-prep course for grad. school. He hopes to take the real test sometime in August!! The application process is now beginning... crazy! It always felt so far away!

And last but not least I have to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Christi and Emma! They are both celebrating their birthdays this week! I love you both!

My New Life

Well Hello there....

It has been forever since I last posted... I always feel like there is not much to post about. Anyway, Rob and I had a wonderful and relaxing Spring Break. We didn't go anywhere, we just stayed in town and worked... well I worked a few days, Rob worked all week. It was great to be able to spend time with each other without having to worry about school and schoolwork. We went to the movies, rolled out our sleeping bag and blankets in the family room and watched movies all night, went to the park, made breakfast, went shopping, and spent time with our families.

Over Spring Break, we also went to the temple with Justin for the first time. It was amazing. I have been looking forward to the day that my whole family could be in the temple together and it was just as beautiful and fuzzy warm feeling as I had imagined. I am go grateful for forever families and the friendship and relationship I have with my family now!

In 6 and a half weeks, I will be a college graduate. In less than 5 weeks I will be done student teaching. That is scary. It is such a scary economy that I a walking into, but I am trying to stay positive and am praying for a teaching job. Student teaching has been so much fun so far, I am sad it is ending so soon. I am teaching 2nd grade and it is the best. I love walking into the classroom each day and seeing the students' little desks with traces of them left behind. I love greeting them each morning, hearing all about the exciting things in their lives, laughing about the funny comments they make, seeing them interact with each other, watching them learn and grow, and receiving their sweet hugs. At times it is challenging, but the little moments make it SOOO worth it!

Where in the World?

It seems like just yesterday Justin and I were playing with his Rugrats and he was making me push his mattress up and down from the bottom bunk so that he could bounce up and down. Now he is getting ready to leave on his Mission! Crazy! Little brothers aren't suppose to grow up. I am really proud of him for making such good choices in his life and being so excited to serve the Lord. I am also so excited to see where he going to serve. I already told my Mom and Dad that they MUST take me when they pick him up no matter what. We will see how that goes. (I was serious Mom). In just a few short weeks Justin's call will arrive in the mail. Lots of Justin's friends and family have already guessed where they think he is going. He is trying to see if someone can guess right on, so if you want to add your vote, just leave a comment!

We love You J!

Rewind 2009!

Rob and I both cannot believe that 2009 is already over, it has gone by so fast for us. It has been a fun and enjoyable year for us... here are a few of the highlights that we remember most about 2009!

January...
  • We met our new and adorable niece Miss. Aub! She is so cute and precious! We love her!
I stole this picture from your blog Mandi... thanks!
February...
  • We had lots of fun playing in the snow and snowboarding all day! Going snowboarding is one of the highlights of the winter.
March...
  • We had lots of fun at the happiest place on Earth for Spring Break! My sister and her husband and my little bro went along with us... we had quite the adventure! (I totally want to do the volunteer thing this next year to go for FREE!)
April...
  • Rob FINALLY got rid of his ganglion cyst! That was a happy day. He had that thing way too long and it was gross!

May...
  • We welcome our newest niece into the world... she too is a doll and so fun! I love having so many little girls around to hold!
Kristy, I stole this picture from your Blog...hope you don't mind!
June...
  • I start my LAST summer school class ever and Rob starts his ALMOST last summer school class ever! =)
  • We had fun at the Lake with the Cook Family!
July...
  • Camping! We always love camping for the 4th.
  • I got my first black eye... well I should say eyes... ever! Stupid trash can! As Nathan, Justin's friend, pointed out so nicely, I looked like a frog for a week.
  • We welcomed our newest member of our family into our home... ROXY! She has been lots of fun and a handful all at once. I finally thought that she was over all her puppyness and then she ate my Christmas tree skirt... oh well.
  • Rob & I finished summer school.... GREAT day
  • Rob got a new Jeep... I think that this was in July... and we sold Red-G!
August...
  • Married two years!!
  • We got to go to Oceanside, CA with my family! It was a perfect vacation and lots of fun! We can't wait to go back.
  • Start school... My last year... and Rob starts his last Spanish class for his major... that was a sad day for him!
September...
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY to us both! Rob is 25 & me 22. Rob is in denial that he is getting old so fast (NOT that I think 25 is old) but it is scaring him.
  • My parents break ground for their new house! It is going to be weird not going home to the house I grew up in. I am so excited for them. They deserve it!
October...
  • Mexico with the Cook's! We had fun as usual! It was a short trip for Rob and I, but worth it.
November...
  • We don't remember anything cool about this month... just SCHOOL.. boo (now you understand why I don't send out Christmas cards, all I would have to recap on is school, which is BORING).
December...
  • I survive methods and Rob is one semester closer to graduating!
  • My parents' house is all framed... it is really happening!
So long 2009! We can't wait for 2010. It is going to be a VERY big year for us. We are excited, but I am a little nervous. In 2010, we will say farewell to my handsome brother as he leaves for his mission!, I will graduate from college, I will get my first teaching job (everyone pray for me), Rob will apply to grad school and will be preparing for graduation! Big events, but we are so excited to see where 2010 takes us!
