6 Month Pictures

December 18th marked 6 months... half a year... only six more months till my baby's one! Yikes. That is too sad to think about. He is growing TOO fast. Seriously too fast!! We LOVE you Baby C! Let's not grow up quite so fast these next 6 months!

(Serious picture OVERLOAD... Thanks to Natalie Atkinson Photography for the pictures)

Temple Lights

Rob got out for Christmas break just in time to fit in going to the Temple lights before the Christmas madness began. Before going to the lights we ate at one of Rob's favorite places, Firehouse Subs, and Carson got a cute fireman hat. Carson LOVED the lights and wanted to touch all of them and even tried to put a few in his mouth! The temple was beautiful as always and it was wonderful to be there together as a family!

"Oh My, these lights are SOO beautiful!"

Christmas Party!

This past weekend we went to Rob's school Christmas Party. The Dean of Optometry had all of the students and families over at his house for yummy food and fun! The Dean even dressed up as Santa.. he looked great! Can't wait for Christmas!

Want to see something Crazy?!?!

Right after Carson was born, there was no doubt about it, he looked just like his Daddy! A couple weeks after he was born, Rob's mom pulled out some pictures of Rob from when he was a baby. Even though we knew Baby C looked like his Daddy, we were still shocked at just how much he did (totally his profile). Hence the reason he often gets called Little Robby! Check it out yourself! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these handsome boys!!

June 18, 2011

Saturday June 18th is the day our life changed forever! Our sweet adorable Carson Andrew Cook was born. He came two days late (torture), but before our set induction (Yay!). He weighed 8lbs 3oz (chunk) and was 21inches long. As I held our little boy in my arms for the first time, fresh from heaven, my heart was forever changed. My heart was filled with a new kind of love. A kind of love I never knew I could have for such a tiny little guy! I love my being his Mama and I am so happy that I get to love him, teach him, and hug him tight for the rest of forever!
One last belly shot right before we left for the hospital
On our way
He love love loves his Daddy

This melts my heart. Why did he have to grow up and decide snuggle time like this is not fun. Miss this!

Our little Fish! (back dating)

After moving to Glendale, one of my friends told me about a swim school that offers FREE, yes free,  swimming lessons for babies till they are 6 months old. I know what you are thinking... How much swimming can a tiny baby actually do?!?! But Baby C loves loves loves it! It has been a great way for him to get used to water and not develop a fear. He is quite the little fish and LOVES to splash the entire 30 minutes we are in the pool. He even lets us dunk him and doesn't shed a tear...such a brave little guy! These pictures are from his first lesson back in September. We were so happy Rob was able to go with us!

I can't believe how much he has grown up since then... he will be six months in two weeks.

1 Quarter down!!!

I am not going to lie... it is ridiculous that I have not blogged in the past 5 months. My. poor. baby. is no where to be found on our blog. :( I seriously need to step it up and really am going to try to get back into the blogging world especially since it is my only current journal of our happenings (pathetic journal... see it's a CRIME). I am not even going to try to catch up on the last 5 months at the moment. ugh! **too overwhelming**

Anyway, we had a FANTASTIC Fall break these past two weeks! Rob survived (and LOVED) his 1st quarter of Optometry school! Yay! However, after his VERY VERY VERY busy quarter Carson and I were missing him LOTS and were very excited that we got to spend 2 WHOLE stress and study free weeks with him! Since we had so much time off we decided to pack up our stuff and enjoy our break in Tucson... we especially enjoyed the added perks of visiting family like free meals, babysitting, and we even some laundry service (seriously my Mom spoiled us).
Here are some of the highlights of our break!
trips to the park

eating cereal for the 1st time

Carson's first UA Game

Trip to the Zoo

Thanksgiving with the Fam

Snow at the Foothills Mall

Desert Museum

Some more of our fun included...
*A trip to see Santa
*Date Nights after the babe went to sleep!

*Too much shopping
*LOTS of fun with our families
*Lots of Yummy food

*Eegees
*Pedicures
* Lots of R&R

We sure did have fun and soaked up every minute of Rob's break! Needless to say, Monday was a very sad day as we watched Rob leave for school. Back to reality we go! Can't wait for Christmas!
