You already have 19 Best Buds!

Dear Baby,

You are growing and so is Mommy! I feel like you and I are getting bigger over night. You are taking up more room recently and making my normal work pants feel tighter than they have ever felt... so I decided it was time to tell my cute little 1st graders about you! Everyday, we have a special time in class where the kiddos can share something special or exciting that is happening in their lives. They love this time of day and ALWAYS have something that they want to share. Sometime they share some crazy/funny things... like that they bought a horse all by themselves or their Dad is the strongest person on earth and can lift a car or that their eyes are hurting and that everything and everyone is yellow! Regardless if it is true or not, they are so proud to share their news with the rest of the class. So on Friday, I told them that Mrs. Cook had special news and they were sure that I was going to tell them something funny about what Roxy did (I guess I share a lot of stories about her)... but I told them it was even more special and then I told them that you were growing in my tummy! Their faces lite up and they were so giddy. They were so excited about you and wanted to know when they were going to be able to meet you. I had to explain to them that you were not coming till the summer time, but they still wanted to know when they were going to meet you. I then had them vote on whether you were a boy or girl. 10 thought you were a boy and 8 thought you were a girl. Before I reviled you were a boy, one of my little boys raised his hand and very excitedly said that if you were a girl he wanted you to Marry his little brother! haha... anyway I told them that when you were born I would probably dress you in Blue and they were so happy! They all wanted to give you a name too... it was funny to hear their recommendations. They think that Greg, Michael, Spit, or Sponge Bob would all be fantastic names!! I will have to think about those names for a while... :)! I am sure that I will continue to hear many funny and interesting things about you from them over the next couple of months. But for now you have 19 little kiddos that love you and are so excited that you are on your way!

In other news, your Daddy and I went to the doctor the other day and he said that you are doing FANTASTIC! He said that you are being such a good boy and growing just like you are suppose to so far. He said you couldn't be anymore perfect... and we think so too!

You are getting really good at kicking and flipping too! You love to move around and stay busy especially when I am trying to relax. You have even warmed up to Daddy and have let him feel you kick and flip!

Over the last week or so I have been thinking about how I might decorate your room! It has been harder than I thought it would be... I wish I could talk to you and ask you what you think would be cool! Daddy really wants cars or transportation and told me no to sports... he LOVES cars and hopes you love them too... don't worry though you can also love sports too... Pops will help Daddy coach you! For now though, I will just continue to worry about what bedding, car seats, strollers, etc. to pick... we will see how it goes. I don't like making decisions like that!

I don't have any new pictures of you growing, but will have Daddy take some today! Keep growing big, strong, and handsome! I love you so much!

Love,
Mommy

Almost Half Way Done!

Just in case you don't already know, I am pregnant!!! :) We are expecting our 1st handsome little Boy in June! We are both very excited (and nervous) for this next adventure in life! I told myself from the beginning I was going to be REALLY good about recording this pregnancy and all of the exciting firsts that it contains so our little man can look back and know how loved he was before we even met him. I have written a few things down, but I have A LOT of catching up to do!! So I guess for now, I will just start from where I am. ( I am writing this is letter format and planning on making it into a book later... don't feel like you have to read it! )

Dear Baby,

Ever since we found out that you were growing in my tummy, your Daddy and I have had a feeling that you were a boy! It was just our gut feeling. We would have loved you just the same had you been a girl, but we just knew that you were a boy! Last Monday, we got to see you showing off your tricks, kicking my tummy, and most importantly we confirmed that you were indeed our handsome little BOY! We couldn't be more excited... Your Daddy was especially excited. He even had tears in his eyes when we were leaving the doctors office because he was so happy and that NEVER happens (really never ever!!) You have already stolen his heart! I was very excited too! I couldn't wait to go shopping for you... you would be happy to know that you have already taken over some of Daddy's closet space with your cute wardrobe. Your Mimi is already spoiling you too! She bought you the CUTEST little outfit! It looks like a tiny version of your Daddy and Uncle Justin's clothes! I can't wait to see you in it!

Today you are 19 weeks and 4 days growing old! I think that you have grown quite a bit in the last week or so and are become much stronger! For the past couple of week I have felt you moving around every once and a while. It was just a soft fluttery feeling and mostly happened when I was laying down or got home from work and was sitting on the couch. But then yesterday in church I definitely felt you flipping around in there! You must have grown some muscles over the weekend or something, because I sure could feel ya! Daddy was a little jealous he wanted to feel you moving too, but you freeze whenever he puts his hand on my tummy! You just don't want to kick your Daddy huh?!?!

Today Uncle Justin found out that you were a boy and he was VERY excited! He thinks you are an extra special boy because your due date is on his one-year mark of his mission! We will see if you make it that long! But we sure do hope stay baking in there as long as you can! In just a few days you will be half way done baking! We hope you keep growing health, strong, and handsome!! We are so thankful to our Heavenly Father for blessing us with you and trusting us to guide you through this life! We love you so much already!!

Love,
Mommy

Halloween Love!

Halloween is a fun holiday! I love seeing all the little kiddos dressed up in their costumes and so excited! It is the best! I also love Halloween now because it always reminds me of when Rob first told me he loved me (hey if you don't like sappy you don't have to read on :P). We were dressed as nerds (couldn't be more fitting) and he looked right into my taped together glasses and told me the three magical words! I remember thinking, "Heck... if this boy loves me as a nerd, he must REALLY love me." I am so happy we feel in love and get to be with each other FOREVER! He is the best hubby a girl could hope for! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Eat, Sleep, and Study

Eating, Sleeping, and Studying has been Rob's life this summer and his big test is just around the corner.... FRIDAY!! He has studied so much for the OAT and has sacrificed so much time. I honestly don't know how he does it... it makes me tired even thinking about it! It makes me so proud to be married to a man that cares so much about his future and the future of his family.... I know that he is going to do great and if the amount of time he has put into studying is an indication of anything, he will do Awesome! The goal is that he will only have to take this test once and that he will be happy.... that alone will be a blessing and he can go back to normal life (or should I say school.. it starts in a week). Please send extra prayers our way this week... I know that he would greatly appreciate them! I love you Robby... You are going to do GGGRRRRRRRREEEAAATTT!!! YOU GOT THIS!!

The update!

I am so behind on Blogging that I have just put it off... SOOO much has happened that is worthy of blogging about, but I will try to make this short. At the end of April, I finished my student teaching. My 2nd graders were soooo sweet and threw me a going away party. My cooperating teacher, and good friend, Susan, made me a beautiful Shutterfly book filled with all the fun experiences from student teaching... I wish I could put it up here somehow.

In May, I graduated!!! Yippy! I still can't believe it and probably won't until Rob is going back to school and I'm not. A piece of me is kind of sad that it is over... if I could, I would be a student forever!
The Monday after graduation, I had my first teaching interview and then had an interview every week for 3 weeks... that was very stressful for me. I do not like interviewing... at all! However, like they say, the third time was a charm and I will be teaching 1st grade at Desert Winds Elementary School this coming year. I am very grateful for this opportunity and am lucky to have found a job so fast, especially in this economy. It was definitely an answer to my prayers.

The day after I got the job, two of my best friends got married to each other! It was such a fun and beautiful wedding and I was so happy to be a part of it! The Gila Valley temple is beautiful! Congrats KAMI & ADAM!!
The following Tuesday my completely HANDSOME nephew was born. He is such a sweet lovable baby and he came just in time to see Justin before he left on his mission.
A week and a day later, we sent Justin on his mission! Saying goodbye was NOT fun... at all. (I now hope my first child is a girl...haha).. but we are SOOO proud of him and would not want him ANYWHERE else in the world than serving the Lord. Yesterday we heard from him and he is doing SOOO great!
Rob is doing great... he was so happy for the end of the semester to come. It was a VERY BUSY semester for him. This summer he is working and taking a test-prep course for grad. school. He hopes to take the real test sometime in August!! The application process is now beginning... crazy! It always felt so far away!

And last but not least I have to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Christi and Emma! They are both celebrating their birthdays this week! I love you both!
